Teaming up with LOA fonden (The Danish Foundation for Sports and Leisure Facilities), IAKS Nordic is hosting a webinar on 29 May 2024 where experts will discuss the integration of sustainable strategies in the planning and construction of sports facilities and show benchmark examples.
With the shared commitment to mitigate the impact of human activities on the environment, 196 countries signed the Paris Agreement in 2015. This landmark agreement is dedicated to concerted efforts in limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The webinar will see presentations of the „Reduction Roadmap“, the „Sustainability Hierarchy“ and „Organization of Sport Facilities and Public Value“. Best-practice examples from Street Mekka in Viborg and the Trail Center in Silkeborg will explain how a sustainable bottom-up project helps to shape the sport facility of the future.
